3 Ways to Wear a Printed Maxi

Nothing says summer like a perfectly printed maxi. But what's even better is when you can style 1 dress in more than 1 way - enter 3 ways to style a printed maxi! Your bank accounts can thank me later. Over the weekend I picked up this printed maxi number from Linsey Layne Boutique and put her to the test in 3 different ways. I kept the dress, bag, and shoes the same for each look but just made small additions to each look to add some variety.

Let's start with the perfect printed maxi. For me, the perfect maxi is defined at the waist, I love the way this one has a built in waist line with a belt.

A tip for us shorties: Although I didn't with this dress, I regularly get maxi dresses hemmed. If a maxi dress is too long and hangs on the ground it can make you look a little heavier.

For all 3 looks, I kept the dress, shoes, and bag the same and just added small accessories to each look to mix them up.

Top it Off

J. Crew panama hat
If you're looking for an instant summer vibe, just add a panama hat! Not only does it help with bad hair days (hehe) but it also adds a lot of style to your look in an easy way.
Around the Waist

Loft chambray top
I personally love the "around the waist" trend! It's such a fun way to define your waist and add some chambray to your outfit. Just to confirm, you pretty much can't go wrong with chambray.
Add a Sweater

Let's face it, sometimes you need a sweater even in the summer. Adding a long sweater is a great compliment for people of all heights!
