Shorts During Transitional Weather

All of my northeastern(...ers?) I hope you are loving this weather! It's been a LONG winter (to say the least) and I don't know about you, but I can't help but want to wear shorts - even if it's WAY too early!

Ideally, shorts would be busted out when it's consistently warm weather. But with the high's and low's that we've still been having, well... ain't nobody got time for that! I've been wearing shorts on recent warm-weather days with thin sweaters. This helps me to not freeze but also still be able to pull off a totally cute look.
I recently blogged this sweater, but I'm loving how transitional it is. I've worn it with boyfriend jeans, white jeans, and shorts. It was only $12.99, but it was certainly worth every penny. It's important to me to find pieces that are functional with a variety of looks to help keep some $$ in my bank account, of course, sometimes I'm not always successful in this area.
Throwing a thin sweater on with a pair of shorts is a great way to stay weather appropriate through spring. If you're going to leave your sweater untucked like I did, just make sure your shorts are fitted around the waist and not too loose through the thigh. Shorts that are really loose through the thigh can make you look heavier if your top is untucked - especially for us shorties!
